This training is a science-based educational program aimed at Green Industry workers, brought to you by the University of Florida IFAS Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ program. This program teaches landscaping practices that help conserve and protect Florida's ground and surface waters.
Overview of the Florida-Friendly Best Management Practices Lawn/Landscape Cultural and Fertilization Best Management Practices Break Fertilizer Best Management Practices Pesticide Best Management Practices .
Who should attend: Anyone working in lawn care, pest control, landscaping, or irrigation• Property managers• City and County employees including parks, stormwater, procurement, and planning Landscape architects/designers
Why you should attend: All commercial fertilizer applicators must have a license from the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. To obtain this license, each commercial fertilizer applicator must first be trained in the Florida-Friendly Best Management Practices and receive a certificate of completion. Green Industries worker choose to participate in the program to better serve their clients Regulatory agencies need to keep contract specification updated with the new state requirements

CEU's for PESTICIDE/FERTILIZER LICENSES (maximum of 4):
- 487 or 482 General Standards Core - 2
- Commercial L & O - 2
- Limited L & O - 2

- Limited Commercial Landscape Maintenance - 2
- Private Applicator - 2
- Plus 4 (four) FNGLA CEU's are available in addition.
